I am a 30-something year old mama of two girls. I worked in retail all through college and love fashion. That was really my true passion but I have always been a homebody and didn't want to move to pursue fashion. I thought I would have to go to California or New York to really do anything with it. Instead I received my bachelor's degree from University of Michigan in Public Relations/Communications and Psychology. I was only a few classes away from Marketing, but thought it was time to graduate and move on. I worked in a day counseling center until I had my first daughter and went to school for my master's degree in School/Community Counseling at Oakland University. I was only my practicum and internship away from graduating when my husband and I decided I wasn't planning to return to work so I wouldn't continue my education.

When I was widowed 7 years ago I had to re-find myself and make a whole new future for my girls and I. It hasn't been easy but we are making our way. I have picked up photography and love capturing memories for others. I still haven't lost my love for fashion and are regularly asked to help style the shoots I do. I get fashion questions all the time and thought this would be a great place to share that. This blog will be a place for me to post about fashion, lifestyle, travel, being a widow, and more.
